(TS) – Taiwanese manufacturer ASRock is going for the gold (or the loony bin) with its newest X58 motherboard which is known as X58 Extreme6 and packs no less than six USB 3.0 ports and six SATA 6.0 Gbps ports, all made possible via third-party chips.
ASRock’s hexa-core-supporting board includes four USB 3.0 connectors on its backpanel and two via a front panel, has DDR3-2000-ready memory slots, can handle Quad CrossFireX or Quad SLI graphics setups, and also boasts 7.1 channel audio, two FireWire ports, a debug LED, Power, Reset and Clear CMOS buttons, and the Instant Boot platform (instant-on OS).
ASRock is only teasing us for now so the motherboard’s pricing and release date have not been announced.
