(TS) – ASUS has introduced a new netbook that designed for kiddies called ASUS Eee PC 1001PQ at CeBIT 2010.

Named Eee PC 1001PQ, the new netbook is based on the Pine Trail platform and comes pre-loaded with a kid-friendly browser (with parental controls), as well as apps and games for a little e-learning.

The Asus Eee PC 1001PQ is basically a slightly more colorful version of the Eee PC 1001P which is already available for purchase for $299. It features the same chassis design and the same 10.1 inch, 1024 x 600 pixel display, 1.66GHz Intel Atom N450 processor, 1GB of RAM, and 160GB hard drive. It has a 6 cell, 48Whr battery and 802.11b/g WiFi.
