(TS) – Asus has launched its first nine inch ebook reader, the Asus DR900. The Asus DR-900 features a nine inch screen, and comes with built in WiFi, plus the option to add a 3G connection.
Asus chose CeBIT show this week to show the 9″ DR-900, which looks to be a basic e-reading device with touchscreen.

* Sipix touchscreen (1024 x 768 resolution)
* 4GB of storage space
* Wi-Fi
* 3G connectivity optional
* Battery life: 10,000 pages or twenty 400-page novels on a single charge
* File support: PDF, TXT, MP3 and ePUB files
Battery life, meanwhile, is sufficient for around 10,000 page turns – the equivalent of around twenty 400-page novels on a single change – though we’re pretty confident that’s with the various wireless options switched off.
There are no details as yet on pricing or when we are likely to see the Asus DR-900 e-Reader in the stores.
