(TS) – Top motherboard maker Asus has today officially introduced to its ROG (Republic of Gamers) line-up the X58-powered Rampage III Extreme. Targeting enthusiasts and overclockers, the new board features support for Intel LGA 1366 processors, the Extreme Engine Digi+ voltage modulation technology for more stable power and improved heat dissipation, a large cooling system covering the PWM area, the X58 northbridge, ICH10R southbridge, and an Nvidia NF200 bridge chip.
The R3E includes the ROG Connect function enabling overclocking via Bluetooth, six DDR3-2200 memory slot, two SATA 6.0 Gbps and seven SATA 3.0 Gbps ports, four PCI-Express X16 slots for 3-way SLI or CrossFireX setups, one eSATA connector, 7.1 channel audio, Gigabit Ethernet, two USB 3.0 ports, and FireWire too. Also present are a few Power and OC buttons.
The motherboard’s pricing was not announced but you can bet it will cost well over 250 Euro.
