(TS) – Asus has now (finally) introduced its second TUF Series motherboard, the SaberTooth X58 model which made its first appearance at Computex 2010 in June. Like its P55 sibling, the new board utilizes ‘heavy duty’ materials and parts so as to provide top stability, reliability, endurance, and value.
Seen below, Asus’ wildcat has a CeraM!X Heatsink Coating on ‘vital’ surfaces and components to enhanced heat resistance and dissipation, boasts top-notch chokes, solid state capacitors and MOSFETs, and features an 8+2 phase power design, LGA 1366 processor support, six DDR3 memory slots, six SATA 3.0 Gbps and two SATA 6.0 Gbps ports, and three PCI-Express x16 slots enabling Quad CrossFireX and 3-way SLI setups.
The SaberTooth X58Â also includes Gigabit Ethernet, two eSATA and two USB 3.0 ports, 7.1 channel audio and FireWire. No word on pricing or retail availability as of yet.
