(TS) – ASUS is releasing it’s own version of the Radeon HD 5770 labeled with Cucore. The Cucore is equipped with a self designed cooler and custom PCB.

ASUS apparently used a lot more copper in the PCB and cooler base plate with the result of 11& better cooling. Unfortunately the clock frequencies remain the same at 850 MHz for the core and 4800 MHz on the GDDR5 memory. Connectivity wise you will spot a HDMI, DVI and D-Sub connector.

The EAH5770 makes use of the PCI Express 2.1 interface and runs on 800 stream processors. It has 1GB of DDR5 memory, which has an interface of 128 bits.

The actual size of the graphics adapter is of 9 x 5 inches and the maximum resolution attainable by the EAH5770 is of 2048 x 1536 for CRT (Cathode Ray Tube) and of 2560 x 1600 for DVI. The adapter is, naturally, suited for CrossFireX configurations on cards with multiple PCI Express slots.

Pricing is expected to be around 130EUR.
