The Radeon HD 5870 “Six” or Eyefinity Edition has taken some time to pose for camera over at pcpop.com. The card boasts twice the amount of memory over the standard model and features six Mini-DisplayPort outputs.

The card has no DVI or HDMI outputs as these were replaced by six impressive Mini-DisplayPort outputs and the “upper” portion of the backplate has been reserved for a heat exhaust. In addition to more memory, AMD had to include both 8-pin and 6-pin PCI-Express power connectors, while the regular 1GB non-Eyefinity version has two 6-pin connectors.

Apart from the display outputs, there are a few more notable changes. The Eyefinity edition features 2GB of memory, and is powered by 8-pin + 6-pin PCI-e power connectors, as opposed to 1GB and 6+6 pin for the standard HD 5870. A full slot is opened up for an exhaust vent, as six mini-Displayport connectors fit into a single slot.

Futures:
- The maximum output of 8192×8192 resolution, but because of output interface specification and display device resolution limits are not yet reached the theoretical value;

- Common pattern is a combination of six 30-inch display, to achieve a resolution of 7680×3200;
