DDR3-packing Eee PC 1015PD gets detailed

(TS) – As revealed by its own Eee site, Asus is readying for release yet another Seashell netbook, the Eee PC 1015PD which is based on the Pine Trail platform, has a 10.1-inch (1024 x 600) LED-backlit screen, and makes use of the DDR3-supporting Atom N455 (1.66 GHz) and N475 (1.83 GHz) processors.

Coming in black, white and blue, the new netbook weights between 1.1 and 1.25kg, and packs 1GB of DDR3 memory, a 160GB, 250GB or 320GB hard drive, GMA 3150 integrated graphics, a 0.3 megapixel webcam, 10/100 LAN, 802.11 b/g/n, optional Bluetooth 3.0, three USB ports (all three USB 2.0 or two USB 3.0 and one 2.0, depending on SKU), and a 3- or 6-cell battery for up to 13 hours of operation.

The Eee PC 1015PD comes with Windows 7 Starter pre-installed and the Express Gate instant-on OS. Pricing and availability are unfortunately unknown.

MSI reveals the GX660(R) gaming laptop

(TS) – The GT660 has barely started hitting stores and already MSI is coming out with a new, DirectX 11-ready gaming notebook, the GX660(R). This model is based on the Calpella mobile platform and includes technologies like Turbo Drive Engine and Cooler Boost which provide more power and better cooling.

The upcoming portable machine measures 396 (L) x 269 (W) x 55 (H) mm, weights 3.5kg, and packs a 15.6-inch (1920 x 1080) display, a Core i7 processor, up to 12GB of RAM, a Mobility Radeon HD 5870 1GB graphics card, two 500GB HDDs in RAID 0, a 4-in-1 card reader, Gigabit Ethernet, 802.11 b/g/n WiFi, Bluetooth 2.1, a HD webcam, and a 9-cell battery.

The GX660(R) also includes a two speakers and a subwoofer backed by the Dynaudio sound technology, USB 3.0 connectivity, and some big pimpin’ LED lights around its edges. No word on price though.

Samsung X125 AMD Notebook, Intros and Pre-Order

(TS) – Joining Samsung X180 and X430 notebook that launches in Korea, Samsung has quietly introduced another X series notebook, namely the Samsung X125. The machine has appears on official product page of Samsung UK. The Samsung X125 is now show up for pre-order at Amazon UK with price tag £441.33 while original price of £449 (about US$648).

Samsung X125 laptop is boasted by a 1.7GHz AMD Athlon II Neo K125 single-core processor, 3GB DDR2 RAM (2 slots), an ATI Radeon HD 4200 graphics, and 320GB SATA hard drive (3.5-inch 5400rpm). The new X125 notebook is packs a 11.6-inch glossy display with resolution of 1366 x 768 pixel, webcam, 3W stereo speakers with HD Audio and SRS 3D sound, Bluetooth 3.0, and 4-cell / 6-cell battery.

The Samsung X125 notebook is equipped with VGA, three USB 2.0 (one chargeable), HDMI, 4-in-1 card reader, 802.11b/g/n Wi-Fi, 10/100 Ethernet LAN, and pre-loaded with Windows 7 Home Premium OS. Dimensions of Samsung X125 are 296.5 x 208.5 x 24.5 – 31.3 mm and weight 1.51 kg.

Mushkin intros two 8GB and 12GB Ridgeback DDR3 memory kits

(TS) – Mushkin has today announced the expansion of its March-introduced Ridgeback DDR3 memory line with two new, high-capacity offerings, an 8GB dual channel kit for LGA 1156-based systems, and a 12GB triple channel kit for LGA 1366-powered PCs.

Both kits make use of the Ridgeback heatsink boasting low-profile cooling fins, and they are certified to work at 2000 MHz with 10-10-10-27 timings, while powered at 1.65V.

The 8GB (996953) and 12GB (998953) DDR3 kits are backed by a lifetime warranty, the latter being currently available for $419.99.

AOC preps 10 new widescreen LCD monitors

(TS) – AOC is making a big back-to-school push as it’s planning on releasing ten new LCD monitors for business and home use in August. The upcoming displays feature 18.5-inch, 19-inch, 21.5-inch, 22-inch and 23-inch panels – four models boasting a WLED backlight, while the rest have a CCFL backlight.

AOC’s LCDs go from 1366 x 768 to 1920 x 1080 in terms of resolution, have a contrast ratio of 60,000:1 (CCFL) or 20,000,000:1 (WLED), a 2/5ms response time, and D-Sub and DVI connectors. Certain models also include built-in speakers, and a USB hub.

The monitors’ prices have not been revealed.

Bose debuts the A20 Aviation Headset

(TS) – Audio equipment guru Bose has now introduced to the world the A20, “its best-performing, most advanced aviation headset ever” which is supposed to deliver “significantly greater noise reduction,” great comfort, clear audio reproduction, plus a Bluetooth communications interface.

“Since introducing the industry’s first active noise reduction headset in 1989, we’ve continued our aviation research with a very specific goal: to improve the flying experience for pilots,” said Sean Garrett, general manager of the Bose Noise Reduction Technology Group. “With the A20 headset, several proprietary technologies work together to deliver a combination of benefits that wasn’t available until today.”

The A20 makes use of technology found on the QuietComfort 15 consumer headphones to offer a high level of active noise reduction, features a new proprietary ear cushion and a new earcup design for better passive noise reduction, is powered by two AA batteries and comes with multiple connection options, including a 3.5mm adapter.

The A2 headset is backed by a five-year warranty and costs $1,095 or $995 – with or without the Bluetooth mobile phone connectivity feature. We guess using this for Starcraft II would be sort of a waste but we still want one.

(TS) – AT&T should be launch newest Dell Android smartphone on August 9th, known as the Dell Aero. The cellphone should be available for price tag $99 with new a 2-year contract or $299 without agreement. We had heard AT&T and Dell Aero smartphone three months ago.

As remind, Dell Aero packs a 3.5-inch capacitive touchscreen display with resolution of 360 x 640 pixel, a 5 megapixel autofocus camera with LED flash, GPS, a microSD card slot (expandable up to 32GB), 3G, Bluetooth, and Wi-Fi connectivity. The Dell Aero boasts a 624MHz processor and running on Android 1.5 OS.

Apple comes up with 27-inch LED Cinema Display

(TS) – Apple has today also revealed a ‘new and improved’ LED Cinema Display which features a 27-inch in-plane switching (IPS) panel, a native screen resolution of 2560 x 1440 pixels, and an ambient light sensor that will automatically adjust the brightness depending on external conditions.

The LED-backlit screen makes use of arsenic-free glass, an aluminum stand with tilt adjustment, has a built-in iSight webcam, speakers, a USB 2.0 hub, and only Mini DisplayPort connectivity.

The 27-inch LED Cinema Display costs $999 and is set to become available in September.

Interpad 10-inch Tegra 2-powered tablet launching in Germany by year-end

(TS) – Joining the iPad competitors camp, a company called E-Noa is planning on releasing in Germany the Interpad, a tablet powered by a dual Tegra 2 T20 SoC packing two Cortex-A9 cores @ 1 GHz, that features a 10-inch capacitive touchscreen, 1GB of DDR2 memory, and 16GB of built-in storage.

The upcoming mobile device measures 253 x 164 x 12.5 mm and also boasts a microSD slot, 802.11 b/g WiFi, Bluetooth 2.1, USB and HDMI ports, and a 3900 mAh battery. This tablet, running Android 2.1, is supposed to come out in December and cost €399.

A higher-end Interpad model, with Android 2.2, GPS, a webcam and 3G connectivity, is also said to be in the works and should cost under €500.
