(TS) – Combining energy-efficiency with looks, BenQ has designed a new family of LED-backlit monitors for home use, the GL Series which includes the 18.5-inch GL930, 19-inch GL931, 20-inch GL2030, 21.5-inch GL2230 and 22-inch GL2231 models. All these displays come equipped with the Senseye Human Vision Technology that enhances the colour, clarity and contrast of videos and smooths out images, have a glossy/matte frame design, curved surfaces and a decorative trim below the bezel to turn heads, and, of course, feature a lower power consumption than CCFL-backlit monitors.
BenQ’s LCDs have a native resolution of up to 1920 x 1080 pixels, a dynamic contrast ratio of up to 12,000,000:1, a 5ms response time, and come with different connectivity options – only D-Sub for GL/A models, D-Sub and DVI for GL, D-Sub, DVI, plus Line-in and a headphone jack for the GL/M, and D-Sub, Line-In, headphone for the GL/AM. The GL/M and GL/AM also include two 1W speakers.
The GL2030/A/AM/M monitors should start shipping any day now, but for the GL930/A/AM/M, GL931/A/AM/M, GL2230/A/AM/M and GL2231/A/M/AM you’ll have to wait until July.
