(TS) – Motorola tried something different in the age of the specs war, by deciding to ship the Moto X as a mid-range phone (in terms of specs) with impressive performance, oodles of battery life, impressive software and hardware customisation options.
The ChangHong Z9 is China’s answer to the Moto X, sort of, it offers the same ideals, dropping the huge specs sheet for more impressive battery life and less clutter. In a time where Huawei and ZTE try and push out new cheap smartphones for the Chinese market, ChangHong has a simple idea, offer a phone that will last days, not hours.
The Android handset brings a 5,000 mAh battery with less than 9 mm thick of phone body. As comparison, the flagship Samsung Galaxy S4 has under-3,000 mAh zone, while the Lenovo P780 and the Oppo Find 7 still is 4,000 mAh batteries.
Alongside a very huge capacity, the Changhong Z9 phone packs a 5.5-inch 720p HD touchscreen display and an 8MP camera on the back with LED flash. At its heart is a quad-core 1.2GHz MediaTek MT6589 processor and 1GB of RAM. On software side, the phone is hand over responsibility to the Android 4.2 Jelly Bean.
So how about you’re feeling with a smartphone that bundled with 5,000 mAh battery? Unfortunately, this smartphone will be available in Chinese market only.
