(TS) – As revealed by its own Eee site, Asus is readying for release yet another Seashell netbook, the Eee PC 1015PD which is based on the Pine Trail platform, has a 10.1-inch (1024 x 600) LED-backlit screen, and makes use of the DDR3-supporting Atom N455 (1.66 GHz) and N475 (1.83 GHz) processors.
Coming in black, white and blue, the new netbook weights between 1.1 and 1.25kg, and packs 1GB of DDR3 memory, a 160GB, 250GB or 320GB hard drive, GMA 3150 integrated graphics, a 0.3 megapixel webcam, 10/100 LAN, 802.11 b/g/n, optional Bluetooth 3.0, three USB ports (all three USB 2.0 or two USB 3.0 and one 2.0, depending on SKU), and a 3- or 6-cell battery for up to 13 hours of operation.
The Eee PC 1015PD comes with Windows 7 Starter pre-installed and the Express Gate instant-on OS. Pricing and availability are unfortunately unknown.
