(TS) – Dell has today launched its refreshed Latitude E laptop line which is made up of the 14.1-inch E6410 and E6410 ATG, and the 15.6-inch E6510 models. All three business-oriented notebooks are based on Intel’s Calpella platform and feature 720p (1080p optional for the E6510) LED-backlit screens, a Core i5 or i7 processor, up to 8GB of RAM, a HDD of up to 500GB or an SSD at up to 256GB, a DVD writer or Blu-ray drive, a 4-, 6-, 9- or 12-cell battery, and integrated graphics or the Nvidia NVS 3100M 512MB graphics card.
The laptops can also boast a HD webcam, Gigabit Ethernet, a modem, WiFi, optional mobile broadband, GPS, and Bluetooth 3.0, and can be pre-loaded with Windows XP, Vista or Windows 7. Setting it apart, the E6410 ATG also has a semi-rugged design which makes it resistant to shock, vibration, temperature and humidity.
“Organizations have a great incentive to refresh today,” said Bob O’Donnell, Program VP, Client Computing, IDC. “With new technologies such as Intel’s processors and Microsoft Windows 7, CIOs can drive greater workforce efficiency and IT automation. In addition, a modern system running a modern operating system offers greater efficiencies when it comes to desktop virtualization, data protection, asset monitoring and remote management.”
Found here, the Latitude E6410, E6510 and E6410 ATG have starting prices of $1,014, $1,064 and $2,114, respectively.
