(TS) – Relatively quickly after its exposure, EVGA’s newest Intel X58 motherboard, known as X58 FTW3, has been announced by its maker and, while it’s not available, it does carry a significantly lower price tag that that seen in stores.
Going from $269.99 to $289.99, depending on warranty option (two or three years), EVGA’s board is pretty much what was reported yesterday – an overclocking-ready ATX offering that features an 8+2 phase power design, solid state capacitors, a quite tall but passive cooler, support for LGA 1366 processors, six DDR3-1600+ memory slots, plus three PCI-Express x16 slots for 2-/3-way SLI or CrossFireX multi-GPU configurations.
The X58 FTW3 also packs two SATA 6.0 Gbps and six SATA 3.0 Gbps ports, dual Gigabit Ethernet, two USB 3.0 connectors, 7.1 channel audio, FireWire, Power, Reset and Clear CMOS buttons, voltage read points, an on-board CPU temperature monitor, and support for EVGA’s EVbot overclocking device.
