(TS) – After three release candidates, Mozilla has now introduced the full/official 1.0 version of Firefox for Mobile (codename Fennec), but only for the Maemo platform. Based on the same engine as Firefox 3.6, Firefox for Mobile features:

- The Awesome Bar, which searches your history, bookmarks and tags to go to your favorite sites instantly
- Touch-oriented user interface
- One-touch bookmarking
- Location-aware browsing
- Weave Sync for synchronizing Firefox history, saved passwords, bookmarks and open tabs between the desktop and mobile phone
- Add-ons
- Password manager
- Pop-up blocker
- Instant Web site ID
- Download manager
- Spell checker
- Automated update
- Support for over 35 languages
Nokia N900 users can download Firefox for Mobile 1.0 by visiting firefox.com/m. The browser can also be tested out on desktops running Windows, Mac OS X and Linux.
