Gigabyte’s mighty X58A-UD9 motherboard gets official




(TS) – Gigabyte Technology has this week officially introduced its highest-end Intel X58 motherboard yet which is known as GA-X58A-UD9 and can brag with a 24-phase power design, seven PCI-Express x16 slots, two Nvidia NF200 bridge chips, and a waterblock mounted on the northbridge.

Gigabyte’s new blue board has a 2oz copper PCB and an Ultra Durable construction, a beefy cooling system, Dynamic Energy Saver 2 technology, dual power switching for doubling the lifespan of the power phases, CrossFireX and 4-way SLI support, as well as DualBIOS.

“Gigabyte set out to completely redefine what is possible performance and feature-wise on the X58 platform, and the GA-X58A-UD9 truly delivers on both fronts,” said Tim Handley, Deputy Director of Motherboard Marketing at Gigabyte Technology. “Providing the industry’s highest caliber CPU power delivery with our unique 24 phase Unlocked Power design and including all of the features which set GIGABYTE motherboards apart from the competition, the Gigabyte GA-X58A-UD9 fits into a whole new first class category all its own.”

The GA-X58A-UD9 includes six DDR3-2200+ memory slots, two SATA 6.0 Gbps and eight SATA 3.0 Gbps ports, dual Gigabit Ethernet, 7.1 channel audio, two eSATA and two USB 3.0 connectors, FireWire, plus Power, Reset and Clear CMOS buttons. The board has an XL-ATX form factor and has yet to become available in stores.
