(TS) – I-O Data today announced that its HDPC-AU line of portable hard drives will soon be updated to include five models with a storage capacity of 1TB. These HDDs have the same specs but have a different color – Piano Black, Pearl White, Bitter Brown, Orient Blue or Orient Red.

I-O Data’s new 1TB drives measure 75 (W) x 112 (D) Â x 14 (H) mm, they weight 160 grams, have a USB 2.0/1.1 interface, and a casing made out of two parts, a top one with a glossy, scratch-resistant finish, and a bottom one with a soft rubber coating.

The 1TB HDPC-AU series HDDs are backed by a one-year warranty and are set to become available (in Japan) at the end of this month priced at $195.
