Lenovo ThinkPad Edge 14 and 15 get AMD CPU

(TS) – Lenovo has expanded its Thinkpad Edge Series laptops with added AMD-powered models, called Lenovo ThinkPad Edge 14 and Lenovo ThinkPad Edge 15.

The new Lenovo ThinkPad Edge notebooks will be available in configurations with 2.1GHz Athlon II X2, 2.3GHz Turion II X2 and 1.8GHz Phenom II X3 processor. Lenovo ThinkPad Edge 14-inch and 15.6-inch are equipped with ATI Mobility Radeon HD 3400 graphics.

All models pack 4GB of RAM and range from 250GB to 500 GB hard drive. It is pre-loaded with Windows 7 Home Premium or Professional in 32-bit or 64-bit.

The cost of new Lenovo ThinkPad Edge 14- and 15.6-inch are start from $549. It will become available begin on June 22nd, 2010.
