(TS) – Introduced earlier this year in 128GB and 256GB capacities, Lexar Media’s (but really Micron’s) Crucial RealSSD C300 drive has now become more affordable thanks to the release of a 64GB version which has a recommended price tag of $150.
The 64GB C300 SSD has a 2.5-inch form factor, utilizes a Marvell controller and 34nm MLC (multi-level cell) NAND Flash memory chips, boasts a SATA 6.0 Gbps interface, and is capable of read and write speeds reaching up to 355 MB/s and (just) 75 MB/s, respectively.
“The 64GB C300 drive is a natural extension of our award-winning Crucial RealSSD C300 product line. This aggressively priced 64GB C300 drive makes SSD technology more affordable than ever, delivers durability for mobile computing, and makes it a compelling boot drive for desktop PCs,” said Robert Wheadon, Lexar Media senior worldwide SSD product manager.
The 64GB RealSSD C300 drive is backed by a three-year warranty.
