(TS) – MSI is most famous for their ultraportable notebooks and netbooks, but they also have a healthy line of PMPs in development. The latest of them is the MT-V660, a bulky, industrial-looking device that appears to have taken more than a few ques from the Zune HD and the Motorola Droid.

The MSI MT-V660 PMP is powered by a Rockchip RK2806 chipset. It features a 3.2-inch display, a tv-output and a laundry list of codecs. Specifically, it supports MKV, AVI, RM, MP4, FLV, VOB, MPG, DAT, MOV and 3GP files for video, and MP3, WMA, APE, FLAC, OGG, WAV and AAC files for audio.

There’s also the usual picture viewer, ebook reader, calendar, calculator and games, as well as what’s described as a “colorful sliding touch UI”. What with there being no pictures of the MT-V660 turned on, we don’t know how Zune-like that UI might be. Also unknown is pricing and availability.

No words yet on pricing and availability.
