(TS) – The Google-branded and HTC-made Nexus One smartphone has just received a software update that enables multi-touch in the browser, Gallery and Maps applications, fixes some 3G connectivity issues, and delivers the Google Goggles app.

The update will also load up Google Maps 3.4 which features changes like:
- Starred items synchronized with maps.google.com – access your favorite places from your phone or computer
- Search suggestions from your personal maps.google.com history – makes it easy to search for places you’ve searched for before
- Night mode in Google Maps Navigation – automatically changes your screen at night for easier viewing and driving
The Nexus One is getting all this over-the-air so be on the look out for anything new in the notification bar. If there’s nothing there, don’t panic, the roll-out is happening gradually, so you may have to wait until the end of the week.
