(TS) – If you’re looking for a point-and-shoot camera with a DSLR APS-C sensor, you may read this article. Nikon has recently officially announced its new compact camera, the Nikon Coolpix A. According to press release, it is the first COOLPIX compact camera to have a DX-format CMOS sensor. The camera is claimed to be able to handle the most demanding shooting conditions.
The Nikon Coolpix A sports a 16.2MP CMOS DX (23.6 x 15.6 mm) image sensor and EXPEED 2 image processing engine. New Coolpix A camera brings a wide-angle 18.5mm NIKKOR fixed lens with f/2.8 aperture (28mm in 35mm format) that gives exceptional detail to any provision diaphragm and minimizes all types of optical aberrations.
Nikon Coolpix A compact digital camera supports Full HD video recording with stereo sound and 30/25/24fps. It is equipped with SD/SDHC/SDXC memory card slot, 3-inch display, HDMI and USB ports. If necessary, the Nikon Coolpix A provides an external optical viewfinder.
This camera has features sensitivity range of ISO 100-6400 (expandable to ISO 25600) and 1/2000-30s shutter speed range. Coming with a fairly slim, the Nikon Coolpix A camera measures 111 x 64.3 x 40.3 mm and weighs about 300 grams.
Customers will be able to grab the Nikon Coolpix A DSLR Sensor-styled compact camera before the end of March and price of $1,100.
