(TS) – Nikon today introduced to the world a trio of COOLPIX-branded compact digital cameras, the 10.1MP P7000 (aka the flagship), the 12.1MP S8100 and the colorful 14.1MP S80.
Priced at $500, the P7000 features a CCD sensor, a 3-inch (921k-dot) TFT screen, the EXPEED C2 image processor, 7.1x optical zoom, a sensitivity of up to ISO 6400, 79 MB of built-in storage, SD/SDHC/SDXC memory card support, 720p video recording, optical lens shift VR image stabilization, and both USB and HDMI connectivity.
The S8100 costs $300 and has a CMOS sensor, 10x optical zoom, a maximum sensitivity of ISO 3200, offers 10 fps continuous shooting, and packs the same display and storage options as the model above. Both the P7000 and S8100 will become available later this month.

Set for a fall release (in six color schemes), the S80 costs $330 and boasts a CCD sensor, 5x optical zoom, SD/SDHC/SDXC support, a 3.5-inch (819k-dot) OLED touch display, a top sensitivity of ISO 6400, and a USB port. Pick your picture poison.
