(TS) – Philips has announced the ‘40PFL9704′ and ‘46PFL9704′. These, surprisingly concise (for Philips), model numbers slot directly into the company’s high end portfolio. These TVs boast “LED Pro” which is Philips’ next generation LED backlight technology.
LED technology of Pro Philips uses LED lighting high-performance platform, saving up to 50% power consumption compared to LCD TV. HDTV has two 5.000.000:1 contrast, 2.5 times higher than normal, and high speed scanning with up to 200 Hz. In addition, color matching technology helps Perfect Color TV Philips LED can display on 2 billion colors.
Both LED Pros will be available in December, with the 40-incher running £1,799 (around $2969) and the 46-inch model costing £2,499 (about $4,124).
