(TS) – PowerColor introduced a power efficient edition of the Radeon HD 5750 graphics card that requires no external power. Being green is as much a corporate responsibility as much as it is up to individuals. which was announced in early December, will begin next month.
The soon-to-be-release model features stock frequencies – 700 MHz for the GPU and 4600 MHz for its 1GB of GDDR5 memory, has DirectX 11 support, 720 Stream Processors, a 128-bit memory interface, a pretty large quad-pipe passive cooling solution and dual-DVI, HDMI, plus DisplayPower outputs.
Without the additional 6-pin power connector the Powercolor Radeon HD 5750 Go Green is only fed via the PCI Express slot, which delivers a maximum of 75 watt. Thus Powercolor undercuts the theoretical power consumption of the chip by about 13 percent.
The Go! Green HD 5750′s pricing has not been revealed but it should hover in the 100 – 120 Euro zone.
