(TS) – Although Samsung (re) introduced the world to the Galaxy S4 Mini, Active and Zoom during yesterday’s Premiere event, the show’s spotlight was primarily on new ATIV family members. The ATIV Q Windows 8/Android hybrid was the center of attention, but the ATIV Tab 3 is not to be ignored either.
The tablet is dubbed the Samsung ATIV Tab 3, which has 8.2mm thin and weighs 550 grams. Apart from full experience of Windows 8 OS, this Samsung tablet brings an Intel Atom Z2760 processor and 2GB of RAM. Furthermore, Samsung ATIV Tab 3 packs a 10.1-inch touchscreen display with a resolution of 1366 x 768 pixels, and supports S Pen.
According to press release, this tablet is suitable for both creativity and productivity. It is also compatibility with MS Office that perfect device for on-the-go users. This tablet provides 64GB eMMC along with a microSD card slot for storage expansion that capable of 32GB. Its battery allowing up to 10 hours of runtime on a single charge. Other features are 720p HD webcam, SideSync, and Office Home & Student pre-loaded. Available separately, company also offers an optional keyboard dock. In connectivity term, there is WiFi, one microUSB 2.0 and micro HDMI ports.
Reportedly, the Samsung ATIV Tab 3 Windows 8 tablet should be launched in Netherlands in late August and asking cost 700 euros. There is no word about worldwide availability yet.
