(TS) – Silicon Power has introduced a new Armor series of portable hard drive, Silicon Power Armor A70. It is suitable for people constantly on the move with an ultimate road warrior.

This external hard drive is made in a sturdy sealed enclosure capable of withstand most shock, vibration, drop onto a hard surface, and excessive pressure. The tests have shown that the Silicon Power Armor A70 can survive under water at depths of up to one meter for 30 minutes. It is meets with US military grade MIL-STD-810F 516.5 procedure IV (Transit drop test).

Silicon Power Armor A70 Portable HDD is made on the basis of 2.5-inch hard drive with capacities from 250GB to 640GB. It is equipped with USB 2.0 connectivity, compatible with Microsoft Windows, Apple Mac OS X and Linux. It is bundled with Silicon Power’s free SP Widget software for backup and data protection.

It is comes in mysterious red and black colors. The Silicon Power Armor A70 external HDD has measures 140×86×18 mm and weight about 250g. There is no word on pricing and release date.
