(TS) – According to Sony Mobile Communications, the Xperia SP smartphone is now available in Canada from carriers Virgin Mobile, Rogers, and Fido. The impressive-looking phone is being touted as ideal for those who “demand quality and functionality that match their lifestyle.” Well when you put it that way, it sounds like a bit too intense for my blood.
The Xperia SP offers a premium design and a range of Sony technologies including a high quality screen for the ultimate viewing experience; the latest camera features for impressive pictures and videos; NFC connectivity for One-touch functions; Battery STAMINA Mode for extended battery life; and Sony’s signature media apps for enjoying photos, music, movies and games on the go.
The key features of the new Xperia include a precision-crafted aluminum frame, a 4.6″ 720p HD Reality Display with Mobile BRAVIA Engine 2, NFC-technology that allows for quick media sharing, an 8MP fast-capture camera.
It seems to borrow a lot of the same DNA that we saw in the Sony Xperia ZL earlier this year.
The Sony Xperia SP is available now from the Canadian wireless providers listed above. Prices appear to start at around $299.99 outright, which is a surprisingly good deal, or as little as $0 on a qualifying contract.
