(TS) – Although the TherMax Eclipse has only come out last month, Spire today announced a tweaked version of the CPU cooler, the TherMax Eclipse II. Despite the ‘II’, there doesn’t seem to be much difference between the two Eclipse models, expect for the black-nickel plating which is applied on the upcoming cooler (Eclipse II).

The new cooler features an aluminum heatsink measuring 131 x 70 x 152 mm that boasts 46 stamped fins and five 8mm U-shaped copper heatpipes (with direct touch technology), and two 120mm BlackStar 9 ball bearing fans running @ 2200 RPM with a sound output of 29 dBA.

The TherMax Eclipse II supports AMD Socket 939/940/AM2(+)/AM3 and Intel LGA 775/1156/1366 processors, is bundled with a PCI fan controller and anti-vibration rubber fan mounts and is set to ship in the second half of this month bearing a price tag of $52.99 / 38.95 Euro.
