(TS) – Recognizing that there is a market for super low-end tablets, Sprint has announced the ZTE Optik, an Android tablet that it plans to sell for $99. The Optik includes a 1.2GHz Snapdragon processor, 1GB of RAM, 16GB of storage, and a 1280 x 800 display. There’s also a five megapixel back camera, two megapixel front camera, and a 4,000 mAh battery on board.

* 1 GB of RAM; 16 GB of internal storage; microSD card slot

* 802.11 b/g Wi-Fi; Bluetooth 2.1 +EDR; integrated GPS
The ZTE Optik 3G tablet retails for $99.99 with a two-year service agreement, or $349.99 without a service agreement.
