(TS) – SteelSeries has brought out two new headsets at CES. The over-the-ear SteelSeries Siberia v2 Frosty Blue Edition adds blue LED lighting to its popular Siberia v2 family of gaming headsets. The on-the-ear SteelSeries Flux is more multipurpose and is designed to fold down into a compact form-factor for travel.

This wearable gadget has two input jacks that allows for two user options, an uni-directional microphone with mute controls and a 3.5mm jack. What makes the SteelSeries Flux interesting is that it offers the ability to daisy chain the headset for multi-user listening. The SteelSeries Flux will be available in the second quarter of 2012.

Other specifications include up to 64GB of DDR 3 RAM, a choice of multiple AMD and NVIDIA graphics cards and enough room for 8 internal hard drives, with up to 24TB of storage. Asus brings the G53 15.6-inch gaming laptop to Computex

(TS) – In addition to things like tablets, desktops, motherboards, and graphics cards, Asus’ Computex booth will provide visitors with a good view of the world’s first 15.6-inch gaming laptop featuring a GPU with full support for Nvidia’s 3D Vision technology.

Known as ROG G53, Asus’ new portable powerhouse measures 381 x 290 x 60 mm, has an F117 stealth bomber design, an illuminated keyboard, and boasts a 15.6-inch LCD screen (a 120Hz panel for 3D readiness is optional), a Core i3, i5 or i7 processor, up to 16GB of RAM, up to two HDDs or SSDs, a DVD writer or Blu-ray combo drive and an Nvidia ‘Ehtusiast’ discrete graphics card – probably the GeForce GTX 480M.

The G53 also has a HDMI 1.4 output and USB 3.0 connectivity.

Roccat-branded gaming notebook to go on sale in Germany

(TS) – Teaming up with mySN Schenker–Notebook, peripheral maker Roccat is going to soon offer in Germany a gaming laptop bearing its brand and bundled with its products. Based on mySN’s XMG6 model, the 3.3kg Roccat Gamerbook features a 15.6-inch (1920×1080) LED-backlit screen, a 1.6 GHz Core i7-720QM processor, 4GB of RAM, a 320GB 7200RPM hard drive, a GeForce GTX 260M graphics card with 1GB of dedicated memory, a DVD writer, Gigabit Ethernet, WiFi and Bluetooth, it runs Windows 7 (or Vista), and is paired up with the Roccat Sota gaming mousepad, and the Pyra wireless mouse.

Set to become available later this month, the Roccat Gamerbook costs 1,449 Euro.
