Toshiba dynapocket IS02 QWERTY Phone in Japan

(TS) – Toshiba introduced its latest smartphone in Japan, namely Toshiba dynapocket IS02. It will be sale via KDDI cellular operator.

Toshiba dynapocket IS02 is similar of the Toshiba K01, which was announced early February in the Mobile World Congress 2010. However, Toshiba K01 is designed for GSM and UMTS, while Toshiba IS02 dynapocket is for CDMA 1x EV-DO Rev. A.

Toshiba dynapocket IS02 has a sliding QWERTY keyboard, 4.1-inch touchscreen OLED display with a resolution 480×800 pixels (WVGA), 3.2 megapixel autofocus camera, Wi-Fi 802.11b/g, Bluetooth 2.1+EDR, a microUSB port, and a microSD card slot (up to 16GB).

The Toshiba dynapocket IS02 smartphone is boasts 1GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon processor and running on Windows Mobile 6.5.3 OS. Dimensions of Toshiba dynapocket IS02 are 66×123×12.9 mm.

(TS) – In case you don’t want to lust after the Pantech Pursuit, there is always the Link to hook you up with your friends and family.

Hitting the US in Q2 later this year from AT&T, the Pantech Link is a mid-range candybar phone with a full QWERTY keyboard, a 1.3-megapixel camera, GPS navigation, a microSD memory card slot, a 2.4″ display at 240 × 320 resolution, as well as 3 hours worth of talk time and 10 days of standby time.

Not something that will keep traffic at a standstill, but might be popular enough with those looking for a middle ground phone.

Pantech Link phone will be available in US during Q2 2010.

Samsung has introduced its mobile phone at CTIA 2010, namely Samsung U820 (Samsung SCH-U820). This phone is suitable for teenagers who need to be connected all times of the day with their social sites. Samsung U820 has a communities social networking widget that allows you update status on social network as well as post pictures.

Samsung SCH-U820 phone is a 3-inch WQVGA touchscreen display, a full QWERTY slider, a 3.2 megapixel camera on the back with video capture, full HTML browser, 3.5mm headset jack, and a MicroSD memory card slot. It also has full Microsoft Exchange email support and TouchWiz 2.0 UI.

Samsung U820 smartphone will be available at Verizon in April 30th for range price of $80 – $100.

Nokia S40 phones confirmed for dual-SIM, QWERTY and touch in 2010

(TS) – Nokia’s plans for 2010 included more entry-level S60 devices and halving their smartphone portfolio; the Finnish company also promised more flexibility in S40 handsets.
