(TS) РAfter Toshiba libretto W100 dual-touchscreen mini-notebook, Toshiba also announce a new ultra-thin notebook in Port̩g̩ series laptop, namely Toshiba Port̩g̩ R700. This notebook is also known as Toshiba dynabook RX3 in Japanese market. According to manufacture, it is the thinnest and lightest full-function portable computer.

Toshiba Portégé R700 notebook is powered by an Intel Core i3/i5/i7 processor, up to 4GB of DDR3 RAM, and up to 500GB HDD or SSD. It packs a 13.3-inch LED backlit display with resolution of 1366×768 pixel, Gigabit Ethernet, 802/11 b/g/n Wi-Fi, a webcam, Bluetooth 2.1, a multi-card reader, a fingerprint reader, a HDMI output, and optional 3G modem and DVD drive.

Toshiba Portege R700 has brings a magnesium chassis, which has a honeycomb structure around the palm rest for added protection. The Toshiba Portege R700 notebook is pre-loaded with Windows 7 OS and should be available starts price of $899 depending on configuration.
