(TS) – Toshiba has unveiled its latest Tablet PC called Portege M780. This Multitouch convertible tablet weighs only 2kg and measures 305 x 239 x 37.4-39.4 mm. Multitouch support with Windows 7 gestures means you can fold that laptop screen right back and use it like a tablet.

The upcoming portable machine is reported to feature a 12.1-inch (1200×800) LED backlit touchscreen, powered by either Core i3 or Core i5 processors, there’s 8GB of DDR3 memory and a choice of either a 2.5-inch HDD or SSD. Two USB ports, Bluetooth 2.1, Wi-Fi, microphone, webcam and fingerprint scanner round the M780 off well.

The Portégé M780 is yet to show up on Toshiba’s site, and there’s no word on pricing.
