(TS) – Since the EeeBox EB1012 nettop is starting to show its age Asus is preparing a replacement for it in the form of the new EB1012P model which makes use of the Pine Trail platform and comes equipped with Nvidia’s next-gen ION solution, the 40nm-built GT218 GPU.
The upcoming EeeBox doesn’t feature much of a visual update but on the inside it includes a nice 1.6 GHz dual-core Atom D510 processor, the mention ION GPU, 2GB of RAM and a 250GB hard drive. The nettop also boasts Ethernet and 802.11 b/g/n WiFi connectivity, optional Bluetooth, a multi-card reader, a HDMI output and runs Windows 7 Home Premium.
Currently the EeeBox EB1012P can be found on pre-order prices at around £325 ($471).
