(TS) – Germany’s own Wortmann AG has just rolled out a new portable computing solution, the Terra Mobile 1772 17-inch desktop replacement based on Intel’s Calpella platform. Seen below, Wortmann’s 3.1kg machine features a 17-inch (1680×1050) display, a 2.27 GHz Core i5-430M CPU, 3GB of RAM, a GeForce GTS 250 graphics card with 1GB of dedicated memory, a 320GB hard drive, a DVD writer, Gigabit Ethernet, 802.11 a/b/g/Draft-N WiFi, an ExpressCard slot, a 2 megapixel webcam, a HDMI outputs, and a 6-cell battery.
The Terra Mobile 1772 is backed by a two-year warranty, comes with Windows 7 Home Premium 32bit pre-installed, and costs 1,199 Euro.
